Water
Bottles
It’s hot!
While students are expected to be in their appropriate uniform all day,
every day, it can get a little toasty.
This is especially true when students are running outside at
recess. Please feel free to send your
child to school with a water bottle to have in class. It is preferred students have a water bottle that
has a straw or some type of smaller opening in order to prevent spills as much
as possible.
Snack
Students are given time to have a snack in both
of their afternoon classes. Snacks are
not provided by the school or teachers. Please
send your child to school with a snack each day.
Uniforms
Students are to wear their formal uniform each
day they do not have gym, including a
belt. On gym days, students may
wear their Capital Prep gym uniform and sneakers all day. Students are not required to change in and
out of gym uniforms until grade 3.
GRADE 1: gym on Tuesdays and Thursdays
GRADE 2: gym on Mondays and Wednesdays
Homework
Homework is graded based on completion. A grade is given to students for each
homework menu under the standard “Completes required tasks outside of
class.” Therefore, students are to
complete all required assignments in a homework menu for a grade of 3. If students would like to earn a 4, they may
complete pages that are labeled as “Challenge” or they may complete any of the
activities on the homework menu options.
