Dear Second Grade
Families,
Students have been working through our
new CKLA program like amazing Trailblazers!
(For more information on this program please visit: http://www.coreknowledge.org/ckla-k3.) We are
already at the end of our first unit of this program!
One of the components of this program is
fluency of what we call “Tricky Words.”
We practice reading these words each day in class.
This week, students are going to complete
an individual reading test of the Tricky Words they have learned throughout the
past two units. Testing will begin on Monday,
November 2, 2015.
Please be sure to practice these words
with your child over the weekend and throughout the course of the week (and
beyond!). The words are on the back of
this piece of paper.
Thank you for your help and support from
home!
